Guatemala City, September 28 (AGN). National Secretariat of Science and Technology (Senacyt) encourages the formation of science clubs, so that young people between the ages of 10 and 15 can gain an interest in science through innovative collaborative practices and projects that benefit their community.
According to National Secretary for Science and Technology, Gabriela Montenegro, The main goal of the Science Club is to promote interest in science through hands-on activities and collaborative projects.
In addition, it is aimed at children and teenagers aged 10-15 who would like the opportunity to participate in innovative projects and be part of a community with similar interests. It is important to highlight that one of the main purposes is that through the experiments carried out, everyday problems in society can be solved and that we can be promoters of science through them.

Structure of the science club
The science club must consist of a coordinator, a godfather and a godparent, who are responsible for guiding the participants and following up on the activities carried out according to the schedule.
The minimum number of members should be 5 and the maximum 20 so that knowledge is equal and reaches everyone in the same way. The coordinator, as the person in charge of the club, has the mandatory task of creating and documenting the weekly activities that he will carry out with the participants on the YouTube channel. He is also responsible for continuous communication with both sponsors of the club so that monitoring is continuous and feedback is in both directions.
