Organized by the University of Rosario, the University of Concepción and the Catholic University of Temuco, these conferences provided a space for exchange of views on the current challenges facing the agricultural and environmental sector.
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National University of Rosario (Argentina), in collaboration with the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Concepción (Chile) and the Faculty of Natural Resources of the Catholic University of Temuco (Chile), organized the Agricultural Sciences Science and Technology 2024 conference, which was held in Rosario, Argentina.
The institutions were invited to exchange knowledge and ideas on the agricultural and environmental reality in two days of Argentine-Chilean brotherhood, open to researchers, academics and professionals in the sector.
Camila Delgado, MSc student in Agricultural Sciences, and Rodrigo Moura, PhD student in Agricultural Sciences, participated as speakers from the University of Cape Town.
The conferences offered a diverse programme covering key topics in the agricultural field, such as agriculture and climate change, food technology, environment and biodiversity, education in agricultural sciences, rural economy, agricultural machinery, genetic improvement, agricultural production, information and communication technologies, among others.
In addition, the 3rd Argentine-Chilean Meeting of Agricultural Sciences was held at the National University of Rosario as part of this activity.
At the 2024 conference, the importance of international cooperation was highlighted as an opportunity to strengthen relations between the two countries, and to enhance the exchange of knowledge and expertise in an environment of warm friendship and cooperation.
