Former Caetano Mayor Felix “El Cano” Delgado Mondalvo’s release date from prison has been pushed forward. On January 28, 2025, This is according to his file with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

With the bribes he received, Delgado Mondalvo and his accomplice Roxana Siffre afforded themselves a life of luxury. In public, they appeared in designer clothes, shoes and handbags.

The former mayor reached a plea agreement with the U.S. government on November 30, 2021, on one count of conspiracy under the federally-sponsored bribery and kickback scheme.

“Defendant conspired and agreed to obtain goods of value from Person A, attempted to obtain influence and remuneration in exchange for awarding contracts to Person A in connection with a business, transaction or transaction of $5,000 or more,” the plea agreement states.

Oscar Santamaria, who pleaded guilty to bribery, is the person in question. He is serving two-and-a-half years in prison.

As part of a plea deal, Delgado Mondalvo was instrumental in several investigations that led to the conviction of several politicians.
