Vietnamese company Thai Binh on Monday presented to about 130 representatives of Cuba’s government and private business sectors joint business opportunities in areas such as energy, agriculture, iron and steel, electronics, recycling, electric vehicles, biotechnology and aviation.

Karkarti pointed out that Thai Binh Company has an important contribution to the growth of trade relations between the two countries, which dates back about 25 years.

According to the director, the event has the particularity of exchanging dynamics between the Vietnamese public and private spheres at a time when this emerging sector is expanding in Cuba with more than 9,000 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

It will also allow the transfer of Thai Binh’s experience in its development from an expanded family business, thus confirming the expansion of the private sector in Vietnam and the role in the tremendous development achieved by this sister country, media reported.

“Thai Binh is a private company committed to Cuba and maintains its confidence in the country, despite the current complexities,” Caricarte stressed.

He added that the meeting will explore new opportunities for trade relations with openness to small and medium enterprises and other companies, in accordance with the Cuban development model and the Vietnamese company’s aspiration to increase exports to the Latin American and Caribbean region.

President and General Director of Thai Binh Company, Tran Ngoc Thuan, affirmed confidence in the Cuban partners and added that his company’s work is the basis for strong support between the two countries.

“With the country’s help, we will be able to implement more projects and unite more people,” the Vietnamese businessman added, while thanking the support we have received from the Cuban authorities since the company arrived on the island.

Likewise, he reaffirmed Thai Binh’s commitment to sustainable development in Cuba and the international community, and his intention to continue cooperation with the government, organizations and companies of the country in the future.
