The US Embassy in Cuba has announced the opening of a new consular service

In a significant step toward modernization and efficiency in the delivery of consular services, the U.S. Embassy in Havana offers an innovative online tool designed to guide and guide those who need to undertake consular procedures.

Named “Consular Navigator,” the site provides quick and accurate answers to questions about various consular procedures, marking a milestone in assisting Cuban and American citizens on the island.

With the possibility to select the preferred language, users can access a system that directs them to the information they need to solve their queries. This anonymous and secure service guarantees users’ privacy and confidentiality without collecting personally identifiable information, and directly responds to the need for an accessible and efficient consular service.

Consular Navigator allows users to answer questions related to procedures for U.S. citizens, permanent legal residents, immigrant and nonimmigrant visas in Cuba, as well as citizenship and immigration services, including the Cuban Family Reunification Program.

In addition, the tool directs users to the correct information on official US government websites and provides the opportunity to contact the embassy directly for more personalized attention.

Advances in consular consultations

The Embassy highlights the ability of Embassy Navigator to filter queries and improve response time to complex queries. If you require personal assistance, the embassy agrees to respond within three business days.

For those unable to access online resources, the Embassy’s general visa consultation hotline (+53 78394152) is available Monday through Friday for Cuban and US citizens, except holidays.

It should be noted that the Consular Information Section does not respond to questions about U.S. Citizen Services or the processing of cases under the Cuban Family Reunification Program.
