The increase in the benefits of the Nutrition Assistance Scheme (PAN) announced by the government will begin to be felt by the beneficiaries from today, Friday.
The UN Department of Agriculture in August approved a $ 463.8 million increase in block allocation for the Puerto Rico PAN, representing an additional 21% of annual resources.
“Families participating in the PAN program to support their food support this month are grateful for the revaluation of the economic food program. The governor noted.
Apart from the fact that this adjustment is permanent, this increase is in addition to the benefits received as part of the epidemic relief.
The Nutrition Assistance Program (PAN) is administered by the Family Sector Socio-Economic Development Administration (ADSEF) on the island. To date, the Nutrition Assistance Program provides assistance to 875,501 families, including 1,554,748 participants across Puerto Rico.
