Gómez Palacio, Durango (OEM).- The Director of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of Juárez, Gómez Palacio Campus, Juan José Martínez García, shared that the goals set for 2023 have been achieved in the academic unit under his supervision. He highlighted increased quality of education, student enrollment, teacher training, and linkages with the productive sector.

Regarding the quality of education, Martinez García highlighted the constant attention to students and faculty development. With six professors at Level I and one at Level II of the National System of Scholars (SNI), along with a notable presence in the State System of Scholars, the College demonstrates a strong commitment to academic excellence.

The director stressed the strategic investments in infrastructure and equipment as evidence of the college’s commitment to the educational development of its students. Among these investments, he mentioned modernizing the main entrance, acquiring laboratory materials, and improving spaces for both classrooms and practices.

Martinez García highlighted that the 15th International Symposium on Chemical Sciences will be held in 2023, which focuses on food processing. The event was hosted by the 24th National Congress of Food Science and Technology and the 9th International Conference on Innovation and Trends in Food Processing, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Guanajuato and the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.
