The President of the Cáceres Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel Morales, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Extremadura, Tomás García, met this Wednesday morning at the Provincial Palace with the President. With the aim of implementing joint projects to enhance sports practice in the governorate.
The goal is to continue the sports and health activities among children and youth that have been developed in the past two years and have reached educational centers in the cities of the governorate.. They also intend to expand these programs to include higher centres, to benefit from and enhance the synergies between Spain and Portugal through cooperation with Portuguese centers and universities, and to study participation in the training and physical preparation of firefighters in SEBI through the establishment of a master's degree. Or another educational program on sports management applied to tourism.
At the meeting, Morales wanted to congratulate García on “the ranking in the Shanghai Ranking, which places the faculty as the most distinguished in the country in sports and among the top fifteen in the world.” “It is something that is difficult to achieve, and it is a credit to the entire team that has worked for many years; other universities have three times the budget, teachers, students and resources,” was the dean's response.
