In order to ensure comprehensive and personalized attention to the health problems of patients and their families, Clínica Ponferrada has launched a new Family and Community Medicine service, announced today the Clinic Director, Carmen Rodriguez, who noted that the new service is led by Dr. Diana Gomez Rodriguez, Specialist in Family and Community Medicine.
Dr. Diana Gómez completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Valladolid, where she also completed her doctoral courses in Internal Medicine, and later completed her training as a Specialist in the Teaching Unit of Valladolid Oeste (Rio Hortega University Hospital), the most famous and prestigious Family Physician Training Units in all across the country.
The physician has more than 15 years of experience in different areas of family medicine, both in rural and urban areas, and has also collaborated as a resident physician teacher in the family medicine specialty at the Leon-2 Teaching Unit of Ponferrada for the past 5 years.
Carmen Rodriguez highlighted the importance of the family doctor’s work. “It is essential to ensure adequate follow-up, especially in cases of patients with multiple diseases.
