On Thursday, Marianela Anchieta became the young woman who will represent Cuba in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.The young woman who participated in the competition was chosen as the face of the central region by a jury of 17 individuals.
After a first show with opening dresses and music by Celia Cruz and another in swimsuits with Amy Nuviola singing live, 24 candidates, 12 girls reached the semi-finals.
Alina Robert, Marianela Anchieta, Maylene Hernandez, Lianette Alvarez, Lynette Wong Dunn, Cecily Marin, Arletti Gonzalez, Galia Vega, Lianni Gonzalez, Yahima Moura, Lisandra Burgoa and Cynthia García made this first selection.
Osmil Souza, one of the special guests that night, admitted that he felt very proud to be there, and recalled that the last time Cuba had a representative was in the Miss Universe competition. 57 years ago, she was among the five finalists. In 2024, the “beauty czar” expects no less from the young woman who won the Miss Universe title in Cuba.
After the gala dress show with music by Liner Mesa, everything was ready to choose the six contestants who would move on to the next round. Marianela Anchieta, Alina Robert, Mylene Hernandez, Arletti Gonzalez, Yahima Moura, and Liani Gonzalez had to answer random questions prepared for them by the jury.

Next November Marianela Ancheta will be Miss Universe 2024The competition will be held in Mexico City.
