Michael Jordan, considered by many to be the best basketball player of all time and the icon of the Chicago Bulls, the team he played for for 13 seasons, could become the franchise's owner, according to global media reports.
In order to acquire the Bulls, Jordan would have to pay a hefty sum of $4.6 billion, according to an analysis by Forbes. During the 2022-23 season, the Bulls generated operating income of $115 million, which includes EBITDA.
The Bulls are currently owned by Jerry Reinsdorf, who acquired the basketball franchise in 1981 along with MLB's Chicago White Sox. Reinsdorf and Jordan have had some public disagreements over the years, but Reinsdorf has praised Jordan as the greatest player of all time.
Jordan has expressed his love for the franchise and his desire to bring the team back to the highest level. In June 2023, it was announced that Jordan sold the Charlotte Hornets for $3 billion, making a huge profit. His intention was to do smart business and gain economic benefits.
It is very likely that we will see the great legend of the Illinois team become the owner of the franchise in which he played for many years and where he gained great love and admiration from the fans of the said basketball organization.
