Gabriel Polanco, the Dominican who triumphed in Netflix’s “The Assassin.”

Santo Domingo-born Dominican actor Gabriel Polanco continues to raise the Dominican name, now with his secondary role in the Netflix film «the killer», which was filmed in the country and is positioned as a suspense and action gem on the live streaming platform.

The film is directed by acclaimed Oscar-nominated director David Fincher, known for his hit films such as “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Fight Club,” and “Seven,” as well as the “House of Cards” series.

This production features a stellar performance by Michael Fassbender (X-Men, Steve Jobs), who plays the hitman, a lonely, cold, methodical, and unrepentant man, waiting in the shadows for his next target.

Gabriel Polanco plays the character of Leo, the taxi driver in the series, which tells the story of a murderer who is going through a psychological crisis.

The young actor began his acting studies in 2015 with Johnny Mercedes and Clara Luz Lozano. He then continued his training at Stunt School with teacher Alvaro Guzman.

In 2019, in Atlanta, he took intensive film and television acting classes at Drama Inc.

Gabriel Polanco has also taken studio courses by Solly Duran, such as “Acting for Film and Television” taught by noted actress Solly Duran and noted director Isabella Breton, as well as “English for Screen I, II and III” taught by J.D. Cabrera.

Thanks to his distinguished work with Maestro Alvaro Guzmán, he was chosen to participate in the film “The Odyssey” by director Tito Rodriguez.

Gabriel Polanco is currently part of Studio Talent Agency as one of their talents.
