Increasing inflation in Cuba “affected” in a very negative way all aspects of society. The rise in prices of food products, transportation prices and basic services can be seen daily. An example, not as popular as the others, but very relevant is youth entertainment on the island.
Everyday young adults have fewer options available for recreation, which is vital during this stage of life. The “crazy prices” of entering entertainment and entertainment sites make more than one family suffer from their inability to afford them. Having their children entertained is essential, but there is hardly a budget for eating at home, so today’s parents think, for whole reason.
So what do you do in this situation? How do you ensure your recreation at these current prices? Questions that no one dares to answer yet amid so much uncertainty.
What is happening in Las Tunas?
In the so-called “Balcony of the Cuban East”, Las Tunas, the situation is similar to that in the rest of the country. A teenager from that eastern region made statements about the matter to the local newspaper newspaper 26.
“Not everyone can go to Caché or Bella Vita, which are the most offered at the moment. I go to the Bajo las Estrellas cabaret, there the entrance is 40.00 CUP. This place, next to the Casa de la Música, are the only two places we can go in this times “.
Meanwhile, another 25-year-old compared Cuba today to what it was a few years ago. “Before they played music for us on weekends at Estadio Chiquito, outdoors and I found everyone without having to spend millions.”
On the other side of the story, Xenia Rus, a programmer at the provincial directorate of culture, blamed part of the problem on poor technical availability. We do not have technical equipment to solve the activities in different places. This is a reality that occurs in all municipalities and places of recreation in a very difficult situation throughout the province.
