There are three program periods during the year: March 15 to April 15 Easter; Summer season is from July 25 to August 25 and winter season is from November 29, 2023 to January 8, 2024.

Entitlement is the value of merchandise that may pass by road from the United States to Mexico duty-free, plus personal baggage in the case of a national.

In addition, countrymen are entitled to the amount accrued by each member of the family if they travel together in the same mode of transport. It does not apply to residents of a border area or region.

Invoices or sales receipts can be provided to prove the value of merchandise that is part of the lien. If these are not available, customs officers can determine the value of the goods.
