A total of 9 educational institutions in the region will benefit from the project
The Cartagena Region has started the first phase of the “Training 4.R, Learning with a Purpose” project, through which more than 1,000 students from the age of 9 will be trained. Educational institutions in the region in digital skills for the fourth industrial revolution.
9th, 10th, and 11th graders will learn about data science and artificial intelligence, as part of the local government’s commitment to work to bridge the gaps, Inclusion and ensuring that children and young people, as well as adults and the elderly, have opportunities to access and enjoy the benefits of new technologies.

Young people learn about Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Data Science, Robotics, Simulation, System Integration, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, 3D Reality, Augmented Reality and Big Data.
This project is supported by IBM, which provides access to knowledge through its virtual platform, and TIGO-UNE, a company that has donated Sim cards that ensure student connectivity. This project is also supported by a human team made up of volunteers from the mayor’s office of the informatics advisory office, more than 20 technology professionals, Officials of the Education Secretariat in the region, deans, coordinators and faculty members in the various institutions of the region.
