The College of Medicine in Al-Baseet celebrated the graduation ceremony of nearly one hundred graduates who were confined to the year 2020, without the possibility of this event or their traditional journey. To get through the worst of times, with confinement and study, these doctors faced a MIR election that led them to appears twice. Interventions like those made by the teacher’s godfather Alberto NajiraThey appealed to the memory of a year, especially the first wave that Albacete will never be able to forget. The university’s Vice President for Health Sciences, Allino Martinez, presided over the graduation ceremony for this 17th promotion.
It is worth noting that these students ranked sixth in prison. They had to leave their hospital practices and their faculty, albeit belatedly, became a temporary hospital Full of beds and oxygen intakes. After suffering and unable to see what was happening from their homes, the doctors had to lock themselves up for studying for the resident trainee exam, the dreaded MIR.
When the worst seemed to have passed, the MIR election became a new hurdle test. In fact, part of the doctors of this 17th promo traveled to Madrid, on two occasions, to demonstrate for the MIR elections face to face.
Today they remembered that time in graduation celebrated a year later, with distance and mask, a difficult scenario to predict when in January 2020 they faced the final stage of their complex six-year university education.
Under the fair sunshine, family members and doctors were able to celebrate the graduation that stole the first attacks of the pandemic.
