“The Independent Electoral Commission requires full and alternate members of the Electoral Councils who are responsible, upright, impartial, trained, and of character and democratic values,” stated the President of the Central Electoral Council, Roman Andrés Yaques Liranzo, who highlighted the value of responsibility that ELEC members must bear.
Jáquez Liranzo asserted that in past elections there had been electoral boards that declared, inaccurately or strangely, that they were ineligible for everything.

JCE Plenary Celebrates the 3rd Regional Meeting
The Plenary of the Central Electoral Council (JCE) held its third regional meeting this Thursday with members and secretaries of the electoral councils in the southern region of the country, in order to conduct a survey and learn about the current status of 20 dependencies located in the provinces of San Juan, Elias Peña and Azua.
