Local logistics company César Castillo has completed a $1 million expansion

Local logistics company César Castillo LLC has completed an expansion that will generate 32 new jobs, thanks to more than $12.4 million in private investment and support from the Economic Stimulus Fund. Governor Pedro R. Pierluisi and Department of Economic Development and Trade (DDEC) Secretary Manuel Cedri Miranda made the announcement in a statement.

The family company, managed by members of its second, third and fourth generations, specializes in integrated logistics services.

As reported, the investment will allow for the acquisition of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, as well as significant improvements to its facilities. These improvements will enhance its ability to provide product receiving, storage, packaging and delivery solutions.

The amount of the incentive awarded to the company was not reported.

“The growth of local companies like César Castillo LLC is key to strengthening our economy and demonstrating the confidence that exists to continue investing in Puerto Rico.. “This announcement not only represents direct job creation, but also strengthens the logistics sector and supports essential industries in Puerto Rico, such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices,” Pierluisi said of the 82-year-old company.
