Guatemala City, September 28 (AGN). Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) Celebrating Wellness Week in order to promote healthy lifestyles and maintain the health status of healthcare workers.
The health portfolio highlights that staff are the strongest pillar for developing procedures that allow services to be brought closer to the population, especially remote communities.

Activities for employees
According to MSPAS, the activities were carried out from September 23 to 27. The following developed during the week:
- A healthy vision for optimal work
- Balanced nutrition and excellent performance is vital
- Mental health is the key to success
- Oral health
- A few minutes of movement with Zumba, which helps reduce stress and promote health during work activities

These measures were developed as part of an initiative of the Executive Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of Health of Central America and the Dominican Republic, COMESCA, and the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System.
MSPAS explains that since 2016, various activities in the region have been strengthened, taking into account the well-being of those who make up the health systems in the region, in which these institutions have participated.
