Three years after its creation, entrepreneurs MSc X-HEC, born through a partnership between Polytechnique and HEC, created a steering committee. Patrick Sawyer will chair this new governing body.
Created in 2018, the MSc X-HEC Entrepreneurs is established through a partnership between HEC Paris and École Polytechnique, and has a steering committee. This new governing body will be chaired by Augusta’s president, Patrick Sawyer, a former student of the Polytechnic School.
He was also a student at the École Polytechnique (X1977), the École des Mines de Paris (1980) and the Financial Analyst Training Center, and is a member of the Supervisory Board of Eurazeo. He is also a member of the Jurists Club and a consular judge at the Paris Commercial Court.
75% of students have created their own business.
In a press release, Polytechnique explains that this new governing body aims to accelerate international access to this program.
The statement said that this program dedicated to entrepreneurship witnessed during three years the establishment of more than 500 companies. Students, who benefit from teaching at HEC and Polytechnique, also participate in academic exchanges (UC Berkeley) or study tours in Silicon Valley or Hong Kong. 75% of graduates have already set up their own business. 100% take up the position after 3 months, with an average annual salary of 65 thousand euros.
