El Nuevo Diario, Santo Domingo.-The Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic (ACRD) and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche signed an agreement with the aim of developing projects in the country in the academic, scientific, technological and cultural fields.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Eleuterio Martinez, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic (ACRD) and UMH Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr. Vicente Micol Molina, during a ceremony held at the ACRD.
Through this agreement, the two institutions pledge to work together in implementing educational and cultural projects and programs, employee training programs, and providing advice on issues related to the activity of both entities.
Other aspects stipulated in the agreement include the organization and implementation of joint activities related to the social promotion of education and culture, research and technological development, and the exchange of students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff through educational cooperation programmes.
Engineer Martinez stressed that the institution is the most willing to participate in the implementation of projects, describing the signing of the agreement as transcendent for the academy.
“Our organization is committed to developing projects that contribute to the development of the country.” The environmentalist also said.
