“During the years of its existence, the Young Programmers Workshop has provided more than 110,000 training sessions in computer science and this is a colossal achievement for democratizing access to education in all regions, with a range of training courses that allow people of different ages and levels of study can work smoothly. Better in the digital age”, says the Minister of Cultures, Consuelo Valdes.

To date, 200,000 people of different ages have joined the community of young programmers, which has contributed to the training of girls and boys and the updating of the knowledge and skills of the elderly. Likewise, it has made a relevant contribution to reducing the gender gap in the field of computer science because more than 30 percent of course participants are women.
