Professor José Remohe has been awarded the Honorary Academic Title by the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Valencian Community

Professor José Remohe, founder of IVI, was awarded last Tuesday the title of Honorary Academician of the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Valencian Community. The event, which took place at the Medical University of Valencia, was attended by eminent personalities from the medical world such as the Director General of the Valencia Institute of Oncology (IVO), Manuel Lombart, Head of the Oncology Service of IVO, Vicente Guillem, gynecologist Fernando Bonilla or traumatologist Enrique Gastaldi, from among others.

Professor Remohi, who received the title from the President of the Academy, Carmen Leal Circus as well as IVI President Antonio Pellicer, was very satisfied with this honor. During his talk, he reviewed the development of assisted reproduction in recent decades, highlighting the role of the epidemic in the birth rate. According to the professor, “the epidemic has led to a decrease in the birth rate.” For Remohí, one of the most important developments in this field is ovarian rejuvenation.

Professor Jose Remohi studied medicine at Valencia College, specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at the clinical hospital of this city and subspecialized in reproductive endocrinology at the University of Irvine in California (USA).

He is also Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Valencia Medical School, Director of the Master of Advanced Gynecological Laparoscopic Surgery in Ultrasound and Director of the IVI University Institute. Dr. Remohi is also a maternity doctor since 1984 and a sexologist since 1986.
